In June the Provincial Grand Master RW Bro Peter Connolly took opportunity of a visit to Barrow Masonic Hall to present the group with a cheque to cover the cost of purchasing a defibrillator for the building.
Since then the equipment has been acquired. Following the September meeting of Furness Mark Lodge No 36 it was formally handed over to Dennis Laird the secretary of the hall company, and a member of Furness Mark Lodge, by Special Representative Brian Davey.

Witnessing the handover were the former Provincial Charity Steward Alan Jones
and Ian Cottam the WM of Furness Mark Lodge.

Dennis commented, “The Hall Company and all the users of the facilities are grateful for the donation which enabled this superb equipment to be purchased, especially when we have to raise significant funds for vital improvements to the building. It is reassuring to have it available but of course we all hope it will not have to be used.”
